Parallel and No Parallel Special Requirement Rules
This article describes APT rules for using the PARALLEL and the NO PARALLEL ATTACHMENTS special requirements:
- NO PARALLEL ATTACHMENTS - Indicates the scheduling software should not attach parallel observations from other programs.
- PARALLEL (without SLEW ONLY) - Indicates that this observation is a calibration parallel to be matched and attached by the scheduling software to a suitable prime visit.
- PARALLEL (with SLEW ONLY) - Indicates that this observation is a calibration parallel to be matched attached by
VSSthe scheduling software to the slew before a suitable prime visit.
For each template these special requirement may be:
- Implicit - The special requirement is required to be present and may not be removed.
- Disallowed - The special requirement may not be specified.
- Allowed - The special requirement may be specified if needed, or omitted otherwise. NO PARALLEL ATTACHMENTS is a Limited Access Parameter, so requires permission for GOs to use.
- Expected - The special requirement is expected and a warning is generated if it is missing.
